It's a weird limitation, and I'm not really sure it's a thing that most people would suffer from. Not that the items that I could get from the fish drops would be worth anything to begin with.

Well, a few years ago, bout, 4-5 ish? gaia changed ownership and you could buy gaia cash, and then spend it on things that would give you gaia gold. and about every month they would release a new one that would generate, more gold than the last time.
We're, still trying to deal with that.
