I've always wanted a claw machine to put some of my plushies in, just as a cute decoration piece.

Well, it turns out two cities over, there's a manufacturer of such machines liquidating two warehouses worth. There's like 80 claw machines up for auction, ending on the morning of the 20th. Seems like a terrible time to do such a thing when so many entertainment venues are either closed down or at lowered capacity and business owners are nervous about future prospects.

But it could be a real boon for me, cuz fewer interested parties to compete with. This might finally be my chance to own one, instead of just dreaming of it! surprised

Wow, that's a really good price! Especially if it's one of your standard arcade sized claw machines. I think they tend to go for $1000 or more brand new. surprised

Bidding got pretty intense at the end. I ended up winning one though! biggrin $320. Which, once you factor in all the dumb "premiums" and taxes, comes out closer to $375. Higher than what I hoped to pay, but then again...

I'm very excited. Pickup is by appointment, 23rd-27th. Soon I shall have it in my home and filled with my cute plushies! heart

Congrats on getting that claw machine. I think it would be neat to have one around. Sad there is no room for one here.

Wow, it was a BEAR getting it home in the bed of the pickup truck. Now it's situated in the garage. Haven't tried plugging it in yet. But I do have an instruction manual!
