That means 'Good health to you' and it's also a way to say hello in Arabic. I speak fluent Arabic, and have spoken it since I was a child. Being Palestinian does that to you. <3

How about a few basics, then.

Like I began. Salam aleikoum. Said as it is spelled, used when your saying hi to a stranger, or being formal.

Ahlan. Said as it is spelled, means 'Hi' and you use it on close friends and family.

Shookrun. Said as it is spelled, means 'Thank you.'

Azah b'tamil maroof. Said as it is spelled, means 'Please.'

And for goodbye you can just say 'Bye'...seriously. ^^

yeah teach me too. I've always wanted to learn it ever since I was like... five. and I'm 13 now. And I want to learn too because my friend speaks it completely and I think it's cool lol.

I've always wanted to learn Arabic.. It could be so helpful career wise, and it's just a plain beautiful language to hear spoken.... I really do want to learn.. but I can't think of a program that could teach me... like.. there's rosetta stone.. but doesn't that just teach you to identify phrases???

Well,I was going to start an arabic thread but I found yours.
I noticed that U r teaching arabic in a local way.I mean in ur palestinian accent.e.g.'please'can be said 'lao samaht' or 'men fadlak' in other local arabic.
And I think 'Salamu alikom'is best translated 'peace be upon you'

Anyway,if anyone needed help in arabic,I can assist Nakoko too.

My mum's side of the family is Arab-Turkish and I can't speak it.

I can't speak much Arabic, but I can understand it. Being half Lebenese and Half Assyrain, I learnt both languages.
I'm fluet in Assyrain.
