I just joined this guild, but I thought I'd post some poetry and see if anyone cares for it. I'd also love suggestions on anything.

Not So Pretty

Not so pretty now,
Are you?

Though, in past times you were beautiful
Desirable, loved, flaunted, praised

Not so pretty now,
Are you?

You didn’t listen, you broke the rules
T’was only right that you’d be punished

Not so pretty now,
Are you?

All those cuts and scars aren’t so fitting
So you might want to hide away

Not so pretty now,
Are you?

Nobody will want to look at you
If they do they may vomit in disgust

Not so pretty now,
Are you?

Isn’t it hard to be so ugly?
You don’t turn heads anymore

Not so pretty now,
Are you?

Even I don’t want to gaze upon you
And you are a part of me

Not so pretty now,
Are you?

But I’ll help you, I’ll shelter you,
So they won’t mock you while you heal

Not so pretty now,
Are you?

And once you’re healed and returned to your former glory
I hope we remember this, so we won’t have to go through it again

What's In My Journal

The tale of a girl
A girl still unknown to herself
Her blooming into maturity
And her falling into despair

A mix of hatred, betrayal, and revenge
Crafted inot harsh poems and stories
But also words of inspiration, hope, and love
that end those bad experiances

And there is passion
The pages pulse with emotion and lifeNot a word is without meaning
Not one page is without feeling

There are pictures there, too
For when she couldn't put something into words
When something was too painful to write
But needed to be let out

Truthfully, though, only one thing is in my journal
Beyond the passion, betrayal, and hope
Beyond the stories, pictures, and emotions
there's only one thing left

In my journal...is me
