Okay, alot of people ask me how to make your profile classic or current (new age) age or how to put pictures or media on it, so i'm here to tell you.
~*First i'll tell you how to make a "current" or "new age" profile.*~
Step 1= go under "my gaia" then go to "account"
Step 2= go under prefrences and go to where it says choose profile and choose current
Step 3= go to your profile and then click "edit profile layout"
Step 4= go to theme and choose a backround that you want, if you don't like any of them you can use your photobucket account and choose from there, if you don't have one but would like to make one go to www.photobucket.com and you can make a free account.
Step 5= if you want too put pictures on it just click on pictures and you can use theirs or your photobucket account and then click add and it should be there(if you don't know how to use the photobucket on here it should tell u when ur making your profile)
Step 6= if you want to put your frineds avi's on it click on "avatar" and click on your friends name or type it in then click add and it should be there
Step 6=if u want to add a quote on your profile click caption and add your text
Step 7= if you would like to add text to your profile alick on text (well that's kinda obvious) and add your text
Step 8=If you would like too add anything else on your profile like "journal", "media", or anything else that's not already there just click on content.
Step 9= Ok now that your profile is set up you may want to add information about your self, after you save your profile go to account again and go under prefrences, then go to about, details, interest tags, and signature, to tell a little bit about yourself.
Okay now that that's over, i'll tell you how to make your "Classic" profile aka. my type of profile
Step 1= Go under my gaia then go to account
Step 2= go to prefrences and scroll down to choose profile and choose "classic"
Step 3= For a layout of your choice go to www.tektek.org or www.golayouts.net and pick a layout of your choosing........does that make since..yea i think it does.......ok back to business, when u pick ur theme remeber to get the url code (oh and fyi, golayouts.net is really only working under fire fox internet browsers so if it doesnt' work right don't worry it's not your computer it's the sight)
Step 4= now that u have choosen your layout go back to account and go under profile theme and add the url code
Step 5= if you want to add pictures go to your photobucket account and get the url codes from them (one at a time) and them under about
Step 6=if u want to tell about your self fill in the details, intrest tags, about me, and signature parts of your account thing.
(for both profiles, if u want to make a wish list you can do that when you go shopping 4 ur avi ^^)
~*Okay now the media part*~
For the "current" profiles:
Step 1= Go to your profile, edit it, go under contents, and add the media box
Step 2= go to youtube, get the url of the video, and go back to gaia
Step 3= go to your profile and click edit, then edit ur media box and add the url code
Step 4= veiw profile
For the "classic" profiles:
Step 1= go to youtube and get the url code from your video
Step 2= go back to gaia, go under account, go to media, and enter your code
Step 3= veiw profile
~*Other Media Options!!!!*~
to autoplay keep the same code and just add &autoplay=1 to the back of the url code
Example= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klphBSl5EJg&autoplay=1
to loop, as it the video plays and after if finshes it plays again just add &loop=1 to the back of the url code
Example= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klphBSl5EJg&loop=1
to autoplay and repeat the video just add &autoplay=1&loop=1 to the back of the url code
Example= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klphBSl5EJg&autoplay=1&loop=1
To Add a Playlist (see profile 4 example)
to add a playlist you have to have a youtube account
Step 1= if u don't already have one, make a youtube account and make a playlist, to make a playlist u have to choose vidoes u really like and save them as favorites, soon after u should see a playlist page that tells you what to do
Step 2= after u have made the playlist go to your profile and click on playlist and choose which playlist you want
Step 3= copy the url code and then change the view_play_list?p= part of the url code to just /p
Example= http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=C04C3FBFEC52A554 changes to
http://www.youtube.com/p/C04C3FBFEC52A554
Step 4= go to account and go to media and add the code
Step 5= view profile
