The first thing I noticed was the smell in the air. The specific smell every B-bunny knows all too well. The second thing was the soft sand under foot. The soft warm sand that covered the area. The third thing noticed was the sound of waves laughing as they tossed people here and there. The sound of sea gulls muttering in the sky mixes with the sound of people talking and splashing. By now you know what I am talking about. The beach, the ocean, or the sea....however you name it. After admiring the beach for a few minutes I carried a few things to the spot we chose. After putting everything in the proper place I pulled off my clothes and started for the water. I quickly walked out to chest deep as usual. The water seemed cold and the waves seemed too strong. After swimming a while and floating on the waves I walked along the shallow pool. I chased after fish and found a small hermit crab. I scooped some sand and put the crab in my sandy hand. I took it for my mom and Lydia to see. Lydia was afraid it would bite her. I laughed because even if it did pinch it was too small to hurt. After taking a walk with my mom and Lydia looking for shells I went back out into the murky water. The water seemed warmer and the waves seemed softer. I dove under water letting the waves carry my body. The sensation was wonderful! I can only guess that is somewhat how it feels to be weightless in space. After a long time in the water....about an hour my sister said...I got out to rest. I had some gatorade and pretzels. I know I know! My mom went to the store and bought a salty snack to take to the beach. Salty water+ salty snack= very thirsty After a short rest and a photo shoot (*laughs* Against my will trust me!) it was time for more swimming. This time the water was perfect and the waves seemed tall enough for anime jumps I had fun doing poses from animes I've seen. After that I dove to the bottom and searched with my hands for some seashells. I then dared to swim far out. I felt something big and sharp under my foot. It hurt my foot so I swam one legged to shore. My sister came up to me and said it was time to go. We packed the car and shook the sand from ourselves. I wrapped my sunburned shoulders in a towel. I fell asleep on the ride home. I woke up and occasionally listened to my mom and sister talk. Once I got home I went straight to the tub. By this time my sunburn was started to hurt. I laid in the cold bath until I was freezing. I got dressed and just sat down when my sister asked if I could get everything except the trash from her car. With a sigh I left outside. Even the warmth of the sun hurt my skin. I thought I would do a good deed so I hauled piles of clothes, papers, and books up the stairs to my sister's apartment. After that I grabbed a plastic bag and filled it with trash. I found a molded pillow on the back floor boards. I was so grossed out it took me a minute or two to find composure. After this tiring task Jesse left to work leaving me to babysit Lydia. We watched Ice Age but then she got bored and went to play by herself. This gave me some time to myself which I used wisely. The day was good but I wonder about tomorrow....and the pain of my sunburn.
