There was a power outage at our house that lasted for an estimated total of two hours, cutting off everything, even my Windows 98SE temporary server, which held my personal website. stressed
That was between yesterday morning and yesterday afternoon.
Now, I realize that my website is offline, despite the fact that the computer is on. I assume that it is an incorrect IP configuration (most likely with the router), and I will tend to it in the morning.
Serious Edit: A few minutes after this entry, I fixed the IP configuration problem. This is because the computer I was using decided to crash on me while doing a "quick edit" on this journal. scream Nearly three hours later, I still have no exact idea to what it is, although I assume it's the hard drive... of a notebook computer. sweatdrop Dang, I have bad luck with those!
Now I'm using the Windows 98SE "server" computer to update this journal.
And here's the quick edit: During the power outage, my sister was complaining over not having Internet access. I was somewhat appalled at the fact that she did so. The messed up part is that I'm more addicted to the World Wide Web than she is!
Edit of the Morning: I was able to access the operating system of the troubled notebook computer. It seems barely stable so far. Currently, I am backing up another section of data that is only accessible by logging in to a certain account. This entry will be edited again to state the results.
Another Edit: The notebook computer will not let me log in anymore... Oh, well. I'll deal with it another time. Now I'll cross-post this entry to my LiveJournal.
