...AKA the Simple Gaming Computer. 3nodding
Why?! The computer was screwed up since the power outage of June (?) 2007. It will occasionally restart in an unexpected way, even when you weren't using it, and if the computer is off, it will suddenly turn on... by itself!
Funny how I thought my sister was kidding when she stated that, and I believed her shortly, as I experienced other unusual things with other PCs, such as green block "text" on the BIOS startup screen after running Tomb Raider on the Cyrix Computer. But one time at 3 AM, while my sis and I were *possibly* watching Youtube videos on her laptop (my old 10th PC was working at that time), the computer suddenly powered itself on. I was then convinced that she was telling the truth regarding the 7th PC.
*Yesterday*
Now after getting a new power supply (actually, two PSUs: a 250W and a 300W) due to using the old one in the 5th PC, and using 5th's PSU in the Dimension 8200, I install the 300W power supply into the 7th PC. Of course, the restarting problems are worse than before. Heh, I even tried to install Windows Neptune Build 5111 (a beta that became scrapped shortly after this stage), and it froze trying to load a Partition Manager. lol The ironic thing was that I had absolutely had no problem installing it on a virtual machine. On a six-year-old PC. razz
*Today*
I now assume it is the motherboard (been assuming that for months, actually), but may remove the 56X CD-ROM drive and see if it does anything. Not surprising if it doesn't. confused
