So I'm learning how to knit.. and it is actually rather relaxing. I went from knitting crappy hole filled washcloths to making a hat in a week... why is the so called more complex project easier? Does that make sense to anyone? I still am not good at washcloths.. but the hat is easy and I'm getting it done really fast. I may post a pic of it when I get it done. XD

Maybe that fact that you weren't beig challenged enough with the washcloth was why you messed up so much. And the repetition of it. At least the hat kept you rather busy with the concentration. I dunno though. It was just a guess. n_n
