I need to vent! Due to a strange twist of fate, I share a lunch table with my sister's friends. Now, don't get me wrong, they're all pretty nice, but one of them (you know who you are) is an Xbox fangirl. Normally, fanboys/girls just mildly annoy me, but she has a certain knack for it. Whenever I even begin to bring up a video game-related topic, she'll say "Ahh! (my name)! No one cares about ******** Nintendo!" which, of course, stops the topic dead in its tracks. An excerpt from today's conversation: Quote: Me: (talking to whoever will listen) So I finally beat The Subspace Emissary! Aforementioned Girl (hereafter to be known as AfmG: Ahh! (my name)! No one cares about ******** Nintendo! Me: Actually, a lot of people care about Brawl. Why do you hate Nintendo, anyway? AfmG: Because it's gay. Me: What about it mekes it gay? AfmG: Because of the way Bowser rapes Peach, and because of the happy characters. Me: Okay, one: What's wrong with happy characters? Two: Bowser doesn't rape Peach. AfmG: Yes he does! How else do you explain the Koopa turtles? Me: Um... that's what's known as a plothole, something intentionally left unexplained. AfmG: No, that's called Bowser raping Peach. At which point I finished my lunch and went to the library, where I posted this. My apologies to any/all offended by the reading of this. Signing off.
