Short Story#1
Bored Emily walked down to the local bar, she thought it would be wiser to walk than drive a car and waste a bunch of money. Her dirty blonde hair was tied back in a lazy bun, and she was wearing khaki capris and a light blue blouse. The last three buttons on her blouse were unbuttoned so that her turquoise belly ring was noticeable. She had gotten it pierced when she was only sixteen, and her mother hadn't been thrilled to see it on her daughter's body. She was about thrity feet from the bar, and was waiting for the road to be clear so that she could cross. The red light turned on, and she started across it. When she got to the middle, there was a flash of light and something whammed into her. Emily went flying and hit the hard concrete street, rolling until her body came to a stop. She opened her eyes, but was confused as to why she was standing up. She saw the car that had hit her still going down the road as if nothing had happened at all. "Yeah drive away!" she yelled. "You brainless oaf!" Then she looked down at the road, and saw something that made her freeze completely. On the road was her body. Her eyes were closed, and her body was still. She wasn't breathing, and there was a pool of blood around her. Emily gasped, and covered her mouth by placing her hand over it. She bent down and looked at herself, she knew she was dead. Nothing more could be done . . .
