Melisandre is tall for a female at about 6'1", she is on the lean side, though well muscled. She has long auborn hair, about to her waist, straight with just a touch of wave. Melis wears her hair in a multitude of braids which are then braided into a single braid down her back. She has two warriors braids on either side of her face, hanging from her temples. Her warriors braids have two beads at the bottom, one gold, to represent the sun, which gives its light to strengthen all that lives, and one silver, to represent the moon, to represent clarity in the dark. Melisandre had dark green eyes that are deep and seductive.
Melisandre wears a undyed toga with a blood red chest guard. she also wears matching wrist guards and warriors blood red sandals to protect her legs. She carries an ancient sword, so well used that it gleams from remembered fights. On her back she carries a leather quiver and her long bow, made of yew.
I picture her in my head standing in a standard archery pose, the sword strapped to her back as she draws the bow back to shoot.
She has a wolf as her companion. Because the bloodrose is Melisandre's symbol, she has a green rose vine tattoo that starts on her right foot that winds up her leg, around her torso, then down her left shoulder and arm ending wrapped around her third finger. Blood rose rose buds dot the vine, one for every war she has won, the roses magically appear after the war, the ink coming from the blood of the fallen warriors.
