This Animal Within
watching the blood run down
feeling my thirst be clenched
the sensation is remarkable
watching him die
is painful
why i kill the love around me
so i can keep my inner self hidden
is a mystery
after i hear him gasp
i know there is
no more
i finished him
like he said i could
the drink wasnt worth
the heartache
i look into a puddle of rain
my reflection is me
the one who hides this beast
is this who ive become?
