" Lying awake in dreamless sight
I saw the world in black and white
I lived a life through painful lies
Then took a bow and closed my eyes
At rest I saw more vivid dreams
As colors poured through tattered seams
The green of grass, the blue of skies
As seen through hopeful children's eyes
I cannot see things white and black
If I'm to take my colors back
