I'll admit, I don't think it was actually a full moon tonight. It was brighter then I've ever seen it though. My friends and I gathered together in a desperate attempt to get out of a slump of nothing. Arts and crafts are a good way to do that, let me tell you. We were origionally planing on making paper mache action figures, which I think would have been ******** awesome, but Ryan caught the smell of fire in the air. His whole posture seemed to change. From an artsy fartsy, I'm a little depressed with out my girlfriend to, let's cause some danger and live life on the edge. Almost like a cat simply walking on the fence then suddenly droping to the ground in preperation to pounce on it's pray. He was extremely jealous that we didn't get the first fire of automn...e? Whatever. So we thought it'd be a good idea to go down to the creak and make a fire of our own. Which we did. We collected wood on our way down, it was so beautiful. We didn't really need the flashlight we brought, the moon lit everything for us. With is't bluish white glow all around us. It was nice romping though the woods jumping through the patches of moon light though the trees.
"Yea, well.. he's my Ray of.... moonshine. Hah!"
Sorry just thought of that. Someone said that in competition with being another persons Ray of sunshine. I like being moonshine better.
Anyway, when we got the fire rolling we gathered around and made torches with cardboard and swong them around as if were fending off hordes of zombies, then put them on the ground and beat 'em with sticks sending embers all over the rock bed. It almost looked like hot coals that we had to walk through to get back to the fire. Twinkling, warm glow. Stars on the ground slowly burning themselves out of existence. Embers are soo pretty, so... inviting. Then Ryan thought it was a good idea to burn his shirt. So he wrapped it around a stick and tried to use it as another tourch, but when he was spinning it around the flaming shirt sliped off and rocketed in the air, and seeing as it was a cool night with a mild wind blowing it burst into a large ball of flame on it's way down. It was like watching the end of dinosaurs, cause I was there ya know. He kept tossing it up and down till there was nothing left. Then we huddled around what was left of the dying fire until we heard sirens. We assumed it was for us cause it's kind of illegal to make fires in the woods, so we bulted. Ryan being the woodsman was silent as a native american, and just as fast. While I followed closely behind, but not as quite, and Joel the Troll taking up the rear pretty much knocking into every tree due to his poor eye sight.
When all was said and done, we went to Malicks pizza and bought a victory pizza to eat infront of Joels house. It was so chilly, but with the full bright moon and multen cheese in my mouth... it's the happiest I've been in a while.
