Let's face it! Who needs religion? I surely do not. Why would I need a supreme power to tell what to do and to judge me? Now that I'm a being with own thougts and a knowlegde about right and wrong and the abilty to divide things into good and bad, then what use is a thing telling me that what I think is wrong? I want to have my OWN thoughts and opinions. I want to do what I think is right and don't do what I think is wrong. These things might differ from what other people might mean. I don't care if they do.
I'm so sick of the line, "Well, that's just your opinion". No sh*t Sherlock?! Of course it's MY opinion. People seem to have that weird attitude, that the majority is always right. Well, if you asked Sokrates about this he would say no. He would never accept democracy. Sure, democracy is a great thing, but it isn't totally perfect. Nothing in this world is perfect.
An example that everyone seem to have different opinions about, is abortion. I'm pro abortion. Let me tell you how I look at it: If a woman wants to have an abortion, fine. If a woman, who doesn't support abort, wishes not want to, fine. If a doctor who will do a abortion, then let him. If a doctor doesn't want, then let him, but then just get a doctor who will. It is simply a matter of choice. Nothing else. I hate these women who b***h about abortion when they have never been raped and have gotten pregnant. Ladies....this isn't YOUR life, but the life of some miserable woman, who were raped. If only people would let other people decide for themselves.
The sad thing about independence, is that it brings fear. The more control you have yourself, the more likely you are to be afraid. Afraid of the great responsibility. Maybe that is why we fall in love. Because we need a partner in life to make it easier and to talk about the obstacles in life. But a relationship itself, is also an obstacle. We have to meet new requirements and problems. An example is, that we have to tolerate our partner's weak sides and bad habits.
Oh my, seems like I turned from religion to psychology. Oh well, it's all related. I could write much more, but I've decided to leave it for next time. I hope you liked you my entry for today
