Novella got done eating. She toke out the ponytail and her hair hung lose. Lavi stared at the girl. "What?" She asked arching an eyebrow.
Lavi flushed. "Nothing." He said quickly. He turned his face away. Why was he acting like this? Novella narrowed her eyes but said nothing. She toke the tray back up. Lavi did the same. He wondered what she'd have to do. The tall long haired boy came up to her. She had seen him before at least twice. "The Supervisor wants you." He said roughly. Novella nodded. She went to his office remembering where she had been lead the day before.
Kanda turned to Lavi. "Seriously confess soon. It's making me sick to have to see this." He said crossing his arms across his chest like he always did. Lavi glared. "I have nothing to confess." He said just as coldly. Kanda snorted. "Anyone can see what you feel for that girl just by looking at you." He said walking away. Lavi grunted in response. He felt nothing but friendship for the girl. It wasn't Kanda's place to say if he felt anything else.
Lavi went back to his room and slept for a little while longer. The bookman came in unanooced. Lavi knew he'd have to answer to him. "Lavi what do you feel for that girl?" He asked straight to the point as usual.
Lavi sighed. No point in playing Bookman Jr. the old man wouldn't buy it. "Friendship." He said shortly. Bookman glared and grunted. "No. I have seen you look at her. Like she's your lover." He said leaning on the wall as always.
"She's not my lover old man. Relax she's a scared girl that we dragged her. Of course she'll need someone to cling to." Said Lavi coldly.
"So you take the liberty of that." Said Bookman.
Lavi gave a small grin. "It is what "lavi" would do." He said.
"Don't fool me with that boy. Tell me what you feel for that girl." Said Bookman.
Lavi sighed. "I feel friendship..and love." He admitted. He knew bookman would forbid everything. He almost hated him. He'd rip out his heart.
Bookman paused for a long time. "If she feels the same way. And hear this I will only make an exception for her. Only her and only this time. I will allow her to be on the sidelines watching with you." He said coldly.
Lavi was stunned not knowing what to say or how to act. Bookman had just said he'd let Lavi have Novella. Only if she agreed though. Bookman suddenly vanished.
Novella meantime was walking down the hallway. 'He said he'd let me go back to the village and salvage anything if I could...I said I'd go in the morning.' She replayed the conversation in her head. She came to Lavi's room and knocked on the door.
Lavi still asleep didn't hear at first. He groaned and said groggily "Who is it?"
"Novella." She said. "Come in then." He said.
Novella came in and tried not to stare. Lavi was shirtless, and with his hair down. She blushed but hid it. She shut the door and sat down on the bed. She undid the ponytail and let her hair fall down. She ruffled it a little.
Lavi meanwhile was staring at her. He watched her hair tumble down her shoulders. He sighed and leaned back against the bed post. "'Something wrong?" Novella asked. She layed back on the bed so she was looking at Lavi upside down. Her hair spread out on the bed...lavi toke all of this in. "Maybe.." He said.
Novella sat up and turned herself sideways. "Maybe? Well might as well get it out now. Can't keep feelings bottled up forever." She said. Lavi moved a little closer to her. "Well...I'll tell you soon then...Novella.." He said. His face was close to hers. He breathed the last word..her name. Novella turned a deep scarlet. She let the color fade as she stared at his face. She moved a little closer. "No...tell me now." She whispered. Lavi pulled back. "I'll tell you soon." He said grinning. Novella pouted. "Fine then." She said. "What did Koumi want?" Asked Lavi.
Novella smiled. "He said I could go back to my village to see if there was anything there that I could salvage. And I am tomorrow morning..." She said trailing off.
"Do you need someone to go with you? In case akuma show up?" Asked Lavi. He actually really wanted to go with the girl.
Novella smiled. "That would be nice." She said.
She got off the bed and unzipped her jacket. She toke it off and her boots. She layed down next to Lavi completely comfortable with him. Well..as comfortable as she could be.
