Chapter 2 Part 4 Irony
With coming at you at the speed of sound you’d be surprise what you’d think in your last seconds.
For instance I thought of everyone I failed as well as how my training failed than I remember there was one little piece of advice in case of such an emergency like this. Five second to impact, I grabbed the nearest object near me and put it in front of my face. The weird almost squishy looking bullet hit the plant I grabbed and in a matter of seconds it disintegrated into dust.
“Come on, you dodged like that, hmm.” Riavcae said, “That is stupid way to dodge. Ugh I was hoping I wouldn’t have to do this.” He pulled out some hairs from his blade which I realize were mine.
“You see these bullets are made by some hybrid tracking worms that use there enzymes to turn the user to dust which takes a while depending on the person I say you’d have about an hour to live after being hit.”
He then opened a compartment in the gun and tossed my hair into it.
“Now they become homing bugs and the longer it takes them to get to their target the faster and more observant they become they also go around objects just to get the target once they tasted it.”
He shot another one and it started following me I manage to jump out of the way but it did a 180 and started right back at me. I started doing complex jumping moving from plant to plant like a monkey. Man did training come in handy right now and for those who are wondering never take this course ever.
Soon I grabbed a plant and threw it directly at the bullet the bullet tried to dodge, but it still made contact and the plant became dust.
“Hmm, very nice,” Said a voice behind me, I turn to see the barrel of the gun at me, I jumped back, but was still too close, “but you end here.” He fired his third round. I couldn’t dodge. Got dang it how many near death experience will I have I just want one not three. My life flashed for the third time today, man my life sucks a bit when you get three times to look at it.
Then, out of nowhere, a giant hand popped in front of me, if was focusing on the bug bullet to much, seeing that might have gave me a heart attack.
“Fine, are you Nobody?” said Keagan.
“Keagan? Yeah, but your hand.”
“Fine, be I, Nobody. Just for our sake beat him. It was nice to meet a man like you.”
“I’m sorry Keagan, but you aren’t leaving.” Before the bug began it’s way up his arm I sliced off his hand with my sword. “You may have a death-redemption wish, but do so when you are alive. Sorry you can only do it with one hand though.”
“It is a sacrifice I’ll carry with me till my end.”
“Okay, now that was sappy hmm, you are the biggest idiots I have seen in my li-. Then Riavcae jumped to dodge Keagan’s other hand.
“Fine I don’t care anymore now it’s time to end this.” He prepared his gun.
Keagan aimed to block me, but I told him I had an idea and for him to trust me.
“Very well, Nobody, I will.”
He moved and Riavcae laughed, “You accept death then you piece of Nothing. Hmahahaha, DIE.”
He fired and the shot came at me. I ran towards it then I jumped on to Keagan’s other hand and jump off behind Riavcae. “What are you doing?” He said.
Then I grabbed him so he couldn’t move.
“No, this can’t be.” The shot now moving at a faster pace came straight for us.
When the worm hit Keagan pulled me out of the way.
“AUUUUGHHH, YOU DAMN NOBODY!!!!” Riavcae shouted as he fell to the ground.
I walked up to him and he then laughed, “Looks like my fun is up, hmm, didn’t expect to go out like this.”
Then Sophie came in with Jose’s body. I could tell just by looking that Jose was gone. Others were behind them.
“Is it over?” She asked.
“It will be in about an hour.” said Riavcae.
Sophie jump then asked, “Why can’t we kill him now?”
“I have my reasons, just like you do.” I said.
“I then lifted him up and asked him, “What is Riavcae planning for at the end of this year?”
“That’s why you kept me alive? Hmahaha *cough* *cough*.” Blood started spilling out his mouth. “You see Riavcae is planning a global holocaust.”
“WHAT?” Everyone shouted.
“Yep, and he plans on doing by New Years, but he still needs one thing for it to work and he plans on using you, Nobody.” He said.
“Why me?” I asked, confused.
“A sacrifice must be made to ensure the weapon’s activation. He has plans to use your body but it can only activate during this year or it‘ll blow up and cause the place to be engulfed onto itself. He plans on using you or his assistant, what’s his nam- AUGH! ” He grabbed his chest.
Well, it looks like I die one way or another.
“That’s all I know, for more info you have to go to King “Chompers” Muandrog.”
Muandrog was the Tyrant of Europe, which also gave up control of Russia in exchange for most of the Middle-East. A country feed with most of the highest class of purebreds and most supporters of Navimle stood. He was a very big man of African decent who wish retribution for his people, so Navimle gave him the power he asked for. He was also know for his jaw which is said to be made out of diamonds.
“Well, I guess I go check out the afterlife for the others before me.” He said.
Then Sophie punched him.
“Sophie?” I asked.
“This man thinks he getting off easy just by dying look what he did to Jose.” She started to tear up again.
“I know I wouldn’t get off easy, you see I regretted what I have done for over the years, many of us have, but we couldn’t rebelled like you, Nobody, Navimle made sure of that.” He pulled off his glove and on there was a small piece of stone attached to his skin. “This thing controls us and makes us do thing we don’t he controls us without even trying. I had hope to end myself sooner, but he couldn’t let me die. I am sorry for what I did, but maybe I have one last thing.” He pressed a switch on the desk and a bottle of green stuff came out. “This is an experimental Life potion that can suppose to bring back the dead, but it is incomplete and may shorten what was his remaining lifespan. It might even fail, but you can try.”
Sophie looked at him and the bottle and said, “Why should I believe you?”
“Because, it is your only hope left.”
Sophie took the potion and put it into Jose mouth.. Nothing happen. She started to cry again.
“I hoped, I really hoped he would return.”
Then he started to glow. The hole in him repaired itself, but he slowly aged a little bit. Then after both stopped. He opened his eyes.
He looked and asked, “Sophie, but why what has happen?”
“JOSE!” She hugged him tight and cried again.
“Well, I hope I get some lack of punishment when I leave, Nobody, take the orb and smash it into your blade it should increase your blade’s strength. Every…thing relies on…yo…u…now.” He closed his eyes and disintegrated before are eyes.
Later that night we party over are victory on the takeover of The Aztec Kingdom. Slowly everyone passed out till only Sophie, Jose, Keagan, and I were the only ones still awake.
“That was an exciting adventure.” Sophie said.
“Yes, it was. But I think, I’ll call it a day. Night.” Jose than laid down to rest. His body my have aged in appearance, but he was still young inside.
“I think it’s time to go back.” I said.
“Do you have to?” Asked Sophie.
“Yep and I expect all three of you to protect this play, please?”
“Don’t treat me like a little girl, but you have my promise, yours as well Keagan?”
“Yep, I shall protect all of thee.”
“Good, let’s promise to meet again, after Navimle is dead.”
“It is a promise.” They both said.
I then climbed up the cliff side and slowly made my way to a vehicle.
I then began driving back to my home where another mission for me to accomplish would await.
I set it to autopilot and hid my stuff away and decided to see ‘her’ again as I feel asleep to the sun rising over the horizon.
