read the weirdest thing on Wiki...over the years, Texas has flirted with the idea of splitting from the rest of the US, same way as Quebec wishes to from Canada. Honestly, it's just mere words on paper that have kept all these countries tied together for so long. I'm still waiting for NYC to become it's own state so the rest of the state could benefit from normal wages and standard of living. So it's just a matter of time before someone splits from someone else.
