"good bye my love I'll see you some day" he said to me as he walked away
he smiled as he said this
even though I was crying
tears were in my eyes as he walked away
off to war, never to come back
"please don't leave me!!" I cried grabbing on to his shirt
he smiled and then brush me off
"don't worry, I promise I'll be back" he said so calmly,
even though a single tear was in his eye
he walked away, as I watched
"Please return" I whispered to myself
that night I cried myself to sleep
in the morning I awoken hopeing to see him
I ran out side and waited

he said he'd return
he said he'd come back
he said this over ten years ago
and yet I still wait to see him
I still wake up every morning,
and wait outside,
I sit in front of our home and wait
"he'll return" I say
"he'll return one day he promised me he would"

I waited and waited
then he came back the one day
he came to me and held me tight
I remember that day he came back
I cried that day
and so did he

then that very same day
some men came by and took us both away
we died together
I died in his arms
but I didn't care,
so long as he was here with me..........
