CHERRY BLOSSOMS (SAKURA)
Under a tree I sit so peacefully As petals fly by I catch one in my hand And now I understand The meanings of anything and why The sweet pink blossoms Would even make possums Get up from the road and dance They smell so sweet That they lift me from my feet And put me under a trance There name suites them well From looks unto smell And everything else I can think of Cherry blossoms in spring Is enough to make you sing And send you flying like a dove It comes from Japan That wondrous little land The majestic name I utter Must never be again muttered The wonderful tree Sakura.
