Okay so this movie I'm watching is very, very cringey to me. Like all of these women/LITTLE GIRLS (because that's what they are) are all intentionally flirting with this Yankee soldier who the one little girl (I keep forgetting her damn name) found very wounded while she was taking a little stroll in the woods, some going as far as kissing this man?? The woman, who Kirsten Dunts plays, is probably the most infatuated I would assume? He's already done told her he loves her, and I'm sitting here questioning how long he's even been at this boarding school to release such an emotion to her? And she obviously feels the same, although she hasn't spoken those words to him aloud yet, because she keeps agreeing to see him in private and accepted his kiss he so defiantly planted on her face. The girl who Elle Fanning plays practically drools over him each time she's in 6 inches distance of him, and the owner of the boarding school is an "older" woman (older being in quotations because she's not old at all, but she's older than the other girls) is definitely feinding for him too, always trying to get him alone herself and constantly asking him to accompany her with drinks. Not to mention when he first arrived at the school she decided to doctor his wounds up and give him a bath. She was sweating and having an attack of some sort, like panic over bathing and touching his skin? She had to pause and splash water on herself and look in the mirror at her own reflection to get herself together and under control before resuming. It's so freaking weird. I wonder how long it's been since these girls/women have been in contact with a man before to have them acting in such a cat-in-heat manner? It's so disturbing to me I can't help it lol. I'd never be able to just fall in "love" with a man so fast and intensely, one whom is also an enemy soldier and whom I know absolutely nothing about and could be lying every other sentence he speaks.
Just my thoughts - had to get this out before I continue watching hahah.
