The Journals
Does anyone else get attached to other people's OCs?

Like, I am attached to all the kids and characters of The GMFC and similar shops that I've read journals for. I love their families with their pets from different mini shops and their dragons and their homes and stuff.

I just wish they were still around, because I'd offer to rp with 'em to grow their characters up. And even save up money to get art of the next growth stages. At least, that's what I want to do. I wish I had more money, ehehe.

But like, they're all GONE. No one replied to any of my PMs even though I reached out.

I wish I could have done a longer rp with Keetabirdy's cutie, Joel, back in the Gaia Daycare Center #2 back in the day. I was really curious to see how he developed and what powers he had and a bunch of other stuff as he grows up. But now I just am left to wonder. And the same about the other characters. I wanted to see their full stories, dammit!

I was trying to grow my Curio that I was gifted years ago but the friend I was partnering with took 9 months to do a reply. And I ended up saying I'd take her back and try to write it all myself. But now I'm second guessing that...I guess what I could do is, to write some myself and seek out rp partners for other prompts and requirements. Maybe I'll introduce her into the Last Sanctuary rp thread sometimes. Probably when she's older. Right now, she's still frozen as a toddler.

I do miss the other rpers with all their wonderful Curios. But my solution to that is to teleport Ixi to a different dimension of Gaia, like, a parallel universe of it. And go from there. That way, I can write out her twin brother Sanqui and mother, Victoria. Since I wasn't able to get a hold of either of their players after the shop closed and everyone left.

I was talking about how, the appointments being so expensive at the GMFC back in the day (The Gaian Maternity and Fertility Clinic), at 13 million gold, in order to pay the artists for doing all the art stages for your child as you complete their growth requirements through rps, well, I was saying how I didn't think it was fair that there was a rule saying they'd put your character on hiatus or take them away if there was no activity from the owner after a certain period of time. Sure, the time periods were generous, but sometimes life gets in the way, circumstances happen, health problems arise and stuff like that. I saw in the older guild and threads mentions of fights over these rules and how some people's kids were taken away after they broke the rules and stuff. There was a section of the guild of kids that were removed from the players. That was sad.

I'm not gonna use that kinda rule in my future shop, assuming I manage to make this dream a reality one day. Their chara just won't 'grow' till they can jump back in and get the ball rolling again. I think that's a more fair way of going about it, rather than putting unnecessary deadlines and pressures on people.

Anyway, I haven't actually read through all the journals of the D-Corp kiddos or the Cabbage Patch kids, or ICRS, so I'll be doing that in my free time. I'm sure I'll end up loving those characters as well! X3

I was thinking like, if anyone from GMFC who had a child from there, happens to wanna bring them over to my clinic to keep growing them, we could work out a special deal or something. So that would mean that their characters' stories finally continue. That would be wonderful, honestly!

And I know I sound like a broken record 'cause I talk about this all the time and I've been obsessing over it for YEARS at this point. But hey, these rp and art shops are one of my passions and my obsessions and I have clinically diagnosed OCD. So gimme a break, lol. I love what I love and I like what I like.

Once my health improves and I cut back on other rps, I plan to search for artists and staff and make the dream come true. I look forward to that day. I'm finally starting to see some signs of healing after being on slippery elm capsules and strong probiotics for a month so far. And managing my diet, cutting out dairy and other triggers and stuff. So there is hope it may one day become a reality.

I just hope Gaia's still alive and flourishing and there's people around who love families and baby raising shops to become my clients. I don't even care if it's just a small shop with a handful of regulars. I just want it to exist and make people happy along with me.
