Messiah
Once upon a time in this land, there was bountiful food, clean water, wonderous rulers, and the word of love. It's too bad that time has been and gone. Food is scarce from the extreme size of population, clean water is long since forgotten, the rulers of what used to be called "countries" are now just people who claim to make differences in the land for the "greater good". The ozone has rotted, and so our annhilation is near. The polar icecaps have begun to melt and so now each year, we lose about twelve inches of land to the ocean. Our world is currupted and collapsing. Religion has grown to be but a small, secluded group of people who were the sons, daughters, and grandchildren of priests and other nobleman of the church. No one was allowed to enter the city which we called Hack, for if someone was caught trying to come over the walls, soldiers would escort him out of the city, and hack off each of his limbs say for his head and leave him to die. There was only one other well-preserved "town". It was a huge building that contained over four-thousand people. It used to be a building for some sort of industry with a dream of creating ultimate humans. They would take in "freaks" and give them somewhere to stay. There was only a small fee for it though. The scientists needed the DNA of freaks with desirable traits in order to create walking, talking bio-weapons to use on their enemies. I, Seraphinm, though only sixteen when all of this was taking place, knew that something was very wrong with the world we lived in. I also knew that somehow, I was going to make a difference. Little did I know, the destiny laid out for me was far greater than what I had had in mind.
