Posts, Part 2
A chilling mist permeated the mansion like a thick fog that coveted the ground as it own as it slowly worked through the mansion, seeming to rob everywhere it went of light and warmth, dark tendrils twisting and rolling upon its surface as it drifted around the feet of the denizens of the mansion. Slow footsteps could be heard reverberating off the walls of the mansion as the fog worked through the halls, a figure slowly coming into focus upon the horizon of the mist, like an object seen through a haze that slowly comes into focus. As he stepped forth through the doors, the very darkness seemed to melt away from him as though pulling away a second skin upon his being, his blood red hair shimmering in the light cast down by the moon at his back. An aura of power seemed to resonate from him, and through him within the mist as he appeared and leaned lightly against the door frame, a smile crossing his face as his violet eyes flashed maliciously from the light of the numerous candles scattered upon the walls of the corridors. A slight breeze ruffled his shirt collar and hair as he stepped into the mansion, and the doors closed shut behind him, bathing him in half shadow, half flickering fire-light.

A great plume of fire erupts from the floor of the ballroom, and twists like a cyclone towards the ceiling. The flames are as black as the darkest midnight and a figure steps from the swirling flames slowly, as though somehow impeded by the transition from darkness into light. As he leaves the flames they descend towards the floor once more, and leave naught behind to realize they had been there at all. The sheath of a sword hung at his left hip, the sheath as red as wine, a large ruby set into the handle.
As the flames disappeared from whence they came he cracked his neck, the numerous pops echoing throughout the mansion like mini echoes of a great distance. As he opened his eyes, the candlelight seemed to reflect within his luminous violet-grey orbs as he cast his gaze about him within the ballroom.
As he appeared from the flames and they sank back within the floor, back to where they belonged, he cast his gaze around the ballroom before him, his eyes lingering upon the skylight above him that let moonlight filter through the window, bathing him its ethereal glow, as well as the shadows cast by the numerous candes set around the room.
He stretched his arms above his head and stretched, knuckles crack as he interlaced his fingers and pushed his elbows out so that his hands inverted, a series of sharp pops emanating from both his fingers and neck as he settled back upon his heels and gave a soft, languid sigh of contenment.
As he settled back upon the floor of the ballroom, his eyes grew cold and serious as he heard the distinct padding of boots upon the floor, heading into the mansion and towards the ballroom. No doubt the flicker of the candles, and the rather exuberant light cast fromt the Dark Flames had caught his attention.
As he came through the door, the safety of the gun clicked off, a soft snickt could be discerned through the noise that blanketed the mansion every night as he drew his sword and smirked at the human before him, his eyes a cold Golden brown with the dark, slitted pupils like a snakes.
