Ok, I lied to day was not at all uninteresting. Around nine (You know, that time when there is no sun and the clouds cover the moon) I was up in my room, on the top floor, alone. the rest of my family were as follows My brother was one floor below, on the computer and my parents were in the family room, two floors below watching T.V.. (Our house: Basement ^ Family room^ kitchen and front room^ bedrooms ^ attic.) I was in a good part of my book when suddenly, everything goes black. At first, it occurs to me that my mom likes to screw with me, turning off lights, rattling door knobs anything that would 'scare me' So I scream 'THAT WASN'T FUNNY!!' but then, i hear my seven year old brother and two year old sister crying. and it dawns on me that if she'd turned my light out, the other lights in the house would guide me to my bedroom door. But, everything was pitch. I had started keeping a flashlight by my bed since 2004 when we had a big ice storm, knocking out the power for days, my hands searched for it but I realized I'd left it down stairs. Haha... silly me. Honestly, I was scared silly and I thought an ax murder had cut the power to our house to raise suspense before we were brutally murdered. My mom called up to see if I was ok, I was, though a little shaken. My imagination is quite cynical at times. I finally gathered the courage to step onto the floor (I was on my bed, and my room is a mess. Just stepping off the bed you might stab your foot with a fork or something.) I felt my way to the hallway and just as I was about to step down the stairs in pitch black, the lights flickered on. My brother still screams 'I'M AFRAID OF THE DARK' while my sister is over it... I consoled him that he would not get murdered by an ax murder which made him cry harder. I guess he didn't get the joke? Anyway, all is calm now but I found my flashlight... -clutches it- This may seem funny to you but this whole ordeal scared the s**t out of me and proved to me thus more that my imagination is overactive and needs morphine -has just come to this conclusion-
