• Apples tumble from their sanctuaries
    and come to rest upon the earth;
    they’ve grown like children to their fullest
    now they’ve been thrust upon the world.
    So soon they’ve become mature adults
    and prepared themselves for the journey,
    which like an ocean is dark and cold and
    bears no limits nor mercy for the soul.
    In the end they’ll become something beautiful,
    or be wasted and cast away;
    the end of life is bittersweet,
    a distinct flavor to the tongue…
    When it comes the seeds are spread
    and new lives begin to grow;
    where the apples’ lives are ceased,
    their childrens’ stories are begun.
