Forever will you wait for me
By the water's edge?
Into the sun and into the moon?
Even over a ledge?

Forever will you see me
As more than just a friend?
If I were to hurt you
Would you ever love me again?

Forever will you protect me
As if I were your own?
Will you still protect me
Even when we're grown?

Forever will you be by my side
To comfort me when I cry?
To hold me up when I can't stand?

Forever will you hold my hand
When things get tough?
Will there ever be a time that I don't say "I love you" enough?

Forever will you smile at me
Even when you're hurt?

When roses wilt and doves cry
Will you be my friend?

Forever will you love me
Until eternity ends?
