have you been behind bars of steel for fighting for justice
Will some will say they call for Gaudi or for Martin Luther king
Well law abiding citizens
Laws were made by people
But people can be wrong
Unions use to be against the laws and slavery was okay
And the women were strongly oppressed as their children worked the mines
The more you study history the less you can deny it
The laws will stay on the books tell people like us defy it
Well let’s sing and talk about how to take a stand
Be it on the picket lines or on the side of the street we will stand
Well laws were made to protect us
Much like the cops
When that system fails us
It’s up to eternal vigilance to make us prevail
So for every picketer let em take them behind those bars of steel
And we will always sing a song for justice even if it leaves us imprisoned
Or beaten down
So sing a song for freedom and defy those unjust laws

The previous poster summed it up in... less than tactful words, but I have to agree. I think you need to read over this poem a few more times and re-write much of it. I don't mean to be rude at all, but is English your first language? Your grammar is severely off in this poem.


And, I uh... think you mean "Gandhi", not "Gaudi", by the way.
