An interesting thing happened today at work: I was ringing up a customer as normal when I went to get his change for a $20, I noticed that there was a tail and a little ball of brown fur that was not there a few moments earlier when I had opened the register. So, recognizing that this was a little mouse and the fact that he should not be in my register I grabbed his tail and gently tugged - stuck. Then I pushed the drawer in a little bit and pulled the mousey out of the register and asked my dad to hand me one of the bags from the rawhide bar. I tossed the mouse into the bag and then finished giving the customer his change.

I told Karen that I had caught a wild mouse IN my register and she told me to throw it outside. Being as there were no other customers inside, I took him and tossed him on the sidewalk in front of the store and watched him try to scurry back in through the electronic doors and when that failed - he ran along the wall down the sidewalk. I hoped he wouldn't go into one of the restaurants. He evidently made it into the hair salon next door. Oops. ;p

The next customer I had was wondering if I was trying to catch the mouse and then I explained what happened. She was amazed how calm I was about the whole thing and I explained that I had raised mice for a while so I wasn't bothered by it at all. Apparently, I earned a hell of a lot more respect from that lady today. LOL.

Also... mom bought the little ball of fluff - that Pekinese.... her name is Mai Ling and mom intends to breed her and get her a little carrying bag... I told her and the dog that I had dubbed her "Mouthful". This is gonna be interesting to see how the boys react to her. She's so tiny and she's a little yippy dog. God help this little thing.

This is EXTREMELY cross-possed across my LJ; DJ; and both DNR and TLF. lol. I thought this was too interesting a story to NOT share.

Also: I can't wait to see what else is in store with this fall of Gambino/smashing of the Von Helson sister's mansion storyline. ^^
