A Friend of a Friend (A poem for Jena) Always afraid to talk to you Afraid of your beauty Afraid to admit I couldn't be as happy Even when I may never be in your situation But admiring you when I saw That your smile gave others hope Never understood how you could still smile Kicking myself for not learning How to stop feeling sorry for myself Kicking myself for not getting to know you But in my heart, you'll always be A Friend of a friend

	She had leukemia. she died this year. she was a sixth grader at our school...I didn't know her very well...but it was so sad.

	Jena was like a little sister to me. I love this poem. Thank you for writing it. I just love reading these poems. They make me sad yet lift me up at the same time.
