Carpe Diem Ad Muertum
Sieze the day, to the death. There is no potential that shall be passed by, there is no piece of glory to fall by the wayside, there is no soul to left unsaved by the brilliance of language. As writers, we are gods.
Valparaiso
Chase the dark side
Over the sea.
Home where my true love is waiting
For me.

...in the moonlight
There she can see
Round the cape home to
Valparaiso.

If I should die and
Water's my grave,
She'll never know if I'm damned or I'm saved.

There are other lyrics, but I don't feel like looking them up and these are the ones that got stuck in my head today, so here they are. Very sad and mournful song, written by Sting, I think, or at least covered by him, then covered again by Cantus (the version I have). It's really that last line that hits me; that's quite a ponderous piece of information to be incapacitate of attaining. Muistse Mere Lalaud is better, I think, but it's not in English and it's about nine minutes long, if not longer.

...mmmm, that's all.

That's depressing. Really, really depressing.

Yeah, I know, but it got stuck in my head and the best way to get it out was write it down, but I couldn't claim it as my own and couldn't just stick a random partial song in my journal without an explanation.
