They say that young people can't love but can only have puppy love. They claim I have no life experience to be able to be in love...

Then what do you call this feeling I have? I don't just like him and I know it's more then some puppy love. Maybe it started off that way but it's grown so deep and beautiful that I could only think it's love. In fact, I know I'm in love. There's no other way to explain why I feel the way I do. I know I'd do anything for him and I don't let petty stuff get in the way of things. There have been downs but they were minor and we dealt with them in a good manner.

So, my question is, why do adults (and I know not all are like this) say it's impossible for me to have more then puppy love?

I just don't understand...
