A poem/song I wrote. So far its just a poem.

I wrote this after reading "The Perfect Storm" and listening to Mastodon's "Leviathan".

Crashing through angered seas
No cry of sea birds
Lonely boat on swollen waves

Praying for the storm to ease
The cries of sailors go unheard
Unmerciful Poseidon's rage

Sea God's ire across the bow
Screaming, wailing wind has come
Uncaring ocean, churning fast

Dipping down into the trough
The great tall water blocks the sun
Time for rescue long since past

Swing the boat to face the wave
Pretend that you are strong and brave
Sucked down into ocean's chasm
Dead inside, Laryngospasm
