I've been drawing for a very long time, ever since I could pick up a pencil. I grew up a little frighten over little things like the human body and being different. When I was a freshmen in high school, I became a little bolder with my ideas, thinking outside the box and using one of my oldest and most favorite original character Max more often. I made a comic strip with Max and Blake in it called "Maxium Beast" and it was kinda stupid. Max was prissy and ditzy and Blake was a macho man. About a year later I changed the story toa space story under the name "Hoshi No Shi". Some of the characters changed, Max was more or less a space that came to earth to take over and ended up falling in love with Blake (who is still a mucho man) and they had a few adventures. That lasted until I got to Texas and met my best friend, Magpie's and started to actually collabirate on a WHOLE NEW story called "Hoshi No Takai" (Not much change, but it flows better). Max is now considered gothic and dark and to be totally honest, it works VERY well forher style now. Blake is not much of a mucho man anymore. He's more emotional. Kaed is now our mucho man/bad-a** of our story. Then we had an addition back in 2003 when I first had Magpie over. Her name is Diabella. Now, I use to dread drawing other people's characters because I never seemed to get them right. But with her's, when she first drew her out for me, I was able to draw her to what she asked... Maybe a little too well. Diabella has adpated quite nicely to the whole story as Max's younger half-sister and Kaed's daughter.
Now, with me talking about Magpie. Before I met her, I never drew the exposed human body. I was afraid to, I didn't want to be considered a pervert and I was shy and timid to do so. Now, with that shiness and the fact that nudity hightens the emotion of art work (if done right), I draw more nude works. To be completely honest, I enjoy it. So, I can thank Magpie for that.
