Can you say over-reacting much?
That's a big problem online at the moment. The reason I'm writing this is because last night I slightly overreacted.
Sometimes you need to take a step back and look at what you're saying. "I'm going to quit gaia if ______ isn't done" is a big overreaction. Its quite sad to threaten you'll leave if you don't get what you want.
Its pretty much like having a tantrum over a candy bar in a supermarket. Oh wait, I thought you were too old for tantrums.
Either way before you decide to wave threats and have a hissy fit online, look at what you're saying. Sometimes you'll realize (And this is hard to do) that you are actually in the wrong.
I didn't have a tantrum, but I did get annoyed at another website. I submitted an entry only to get it denied and get a message saying I didn't add anything.
I got annoyed and asked the editor what was up.
Turns out the website didn't send my submission through. It wasn't the editor's fault, though I was ready to blame her.
So remember, before you write that flame, before you snap and get pissy, ask yourself "Is this ____'s fault?"
