What do you do when your best friend is moving away.
Moving so far that you wont be able to just swing by whenever anymore?
Its easy to say you want to spend as much time with them as you can before they leave. But thats not enough. You feel resentfull towards them for leaving, you feel so much pain that you cant bear to look them in the face anymore. Everytime you think about them leaving you here all alone, you begin to cry. Surley that aint right. Its not like their moving off the planet?
So what do you do? You begin to ignore their calls and blow them off, pretend they dont exist anymore, and wait for the day they tell you that theyre actually going to stay. What do you do when you no longer have their loving embrace and good advice? Whos shoulder then do you have to cry on? Maybe one of a girlfriend or boyfriend? What happens when they move on? or leave you too? Then you have no one. You no longer have anyone, you then are truly alone because you didnt cherish the time that you did have with your best friend. And who knows if they will ever come back to you.
So three years pass, and your friend comes back from school or whatever. You seem them on the street as they pass you by. Maybe they dont say anything to you, maybe they dont even know you anymore?
Maybe you just need to buck up and take it like a man. Spend the time with him or her. Go to them. Tell them.
Friends are forever, the ones you wish to keep and cherish.
