[This was one half of my Summer reading assigment for my Creative Writing class. The assigment was to find either a poem or song lyrics and write a summary about the meaning, and why you picked them.]
Title of Song: My December
Artist: Linkin Park
The main idea behind this song is asking for forgivness. It has to do with giving up all the pain of the past in order to move onto a better futurs. A future where there are loved ones and warmth. A future with laughing faces, happiness even through all the trials and tribulations of life. The song itself seems lengthy unless it's the type of music you want to listen to, but I personally found it was short.
I originally chose this song because it reminded me of my old self. Of all the things I was and never wanted to be again. Then I listened to this song more and more and I realised it's me now. It's all the things I want now and feel I'm entiteld too. It's all the things I'm willing to fight for. To fight for that love and warmth, that's what I'm willing to do. It's what I definately want most is to be in posssion of such a thing to fight for, and at the same time I believe I am.
