I've been feeling lazy. I haven't written more than 1000 words over the past three days. Still, I'm fairly far ahead. Hopefully I can sit down tonight and spit out another 2k.

As an extra, here's a challenge to all you writers out there!

At my college, there is a staircase. It is not a very big staircase. There are only 7 steps. They lead to nowhere. Literally. They almost lead to the parking lot except that they put a bar at the top, blocking everyone. This is not a temporary bar. It was designed this way.

Why was it? Where was the stairway originally meant to lead? Why wasn't it finished? Write a short story answering these questions. The stairs lead to wherever you want them to. They could go to your bedroom, to the moon, to another world, or even to heaven. The story is yours, wherever thos steps lead.
