Aftermath
The battle was long, and neither side seemed to be getting anywhere. The cave would always have a reddish tint to it, a permant blood stain from the clashing angel and daemon. Marina's sword pierced Vakir's sides and arms, but never seemed to cause any more damage than throwing a rock at him. Vakir's claws raked Marina's wings, face, and back, but were unable to cause her to flinch. Driven on by memories, Marina finally landed the blow that sent Vakir running, but not before he dragged his claws along her collarbone, completeing a curse mark on her body that manifested itself on her throat, wrists, and ankles. "Let's see you survive this," Vakir hissed as he left the cave. "You'll never be able to stand up to another daemon again, so long as you bear those marks." "Silence!" Marina screamed through the pain, driving her sword through his chest, missing his heart by millimeters. "Missed," he hissed at her, throwing her back at the wall with such a force that she was too stunned to move. But Vakir could not take any more damage, so he fled from the fight. "And thus I win again," Marina murmured to herself as the world started to fade. "I don't think the curse is going to affect me, moron. I don't think I can survive this one..." she whispered to herself as she slumped forward onto the floor.

Marina's Journal
I don't have a particular theme here. I'll post when I'm bored or I find something interesting. Read it if you want to, I could care less. It's just a means of putting my words on a screen so that at least I can see them.
