Chapter 3: Breaking Some Rules
.....Tendal woke up the next morning before his alarm went off. It was brighter than usual. He began to get ready for his Friday day of teaching. He always let the kids slack a bit. While he was brushing his teeth he noticed his alarm clock actually wasn't there. He finished brushing his teeth and went into the kitchen. He saw Kayly sitting on the floor in Tendal's boxers and her bra tearing apart his alarm clock and holding wires in her mouth.
....."Good morning Tendal. Isn't it a beautiful morning?" She asked with a smile.
....."What the hell are you doing!?" Tendal shouted.
....."I was fixing you're clock. Well more like upgrading it."
....."Well more like destroying my stuff. And you broke a rule. You should have clothes on."
....."I hate clothes. They make me feel uncomfortable."
....."Well you're making me feel awfully uncomfortable."
....."Well sooorry." Kayly said as she put a pair of pants and a shirt on. "So you have the day off today?"
....."No. Why?"
....."It's already 7:47"
.....Tendal looked at the clock. Kayly was right. "Oh god. I'm gonna be late."
....."Well drive fast."
....."I don't own a car!"
....."Then I'll take you in my car! QUICKLY!"
.....Tendal and Kayly rushed out the door and she rove him to the school. She drove very erratically and unsafe.
....."Thanks for the ride." Tendal said. "Just sit right here for a minute."
....."No problem and will do." Kayly said as she sped off.
....."WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?" Tendal yelled as she drove off. "She is just crazy..." Tendal walked over to the window of his class and looked in. The class was well behaved. He wondered why and then noticed Mr. Ganes standing in the doorway. One of the kids noticed Tendal standing outside. He signaled to Tendal to wait. Tendal signaled him to distract Mr. Ganes.
....."Mr. Ganes." Mike started "Maybe you should go to the main office and call Mr. Markus to see if he is on his way."
....."Good idea. But I'll wait a little longer. I want to speak with Mr. Markus in person." Mr. Ganes walked down the hall a bit. While he was distracted Tendal ran and jumped through the window breaking the glass. He quickly walked into the storage room. "WHAT WAS THAT?!" Mr. Ganes asked as he walked back in. "What happened to this window?"
.....Tendal came out of the storage room. "Ok. So like I promised we are gonna have a small test today and... What happened here?" Tendal asked even though he knew. "Did some one break the window?"
....."No sir Mr. Markus" Gina said. "It just caved in and broke."
....."Wow. Thats odd." Tendal said.
....."When did you get here Mr. Markus?" Mr. Ganes asked.
....."I was here for quite a while. At least twenty minutes."
....."The class said you weren't here."
....."Really now? I was in the storage room the whole time. Why would you lie kids? Tell Mr. Ganes your sorry."
....."We are sorry Mister Ganes." The whole class said in an erie unison.
....."That's more like it. I'm sorry if there was any trouble Mr. Ganes."
....."I-I-I... Just remember Mr. Markus. I'm watching you."
....."Will do sir." Tendal said as Mr. Ganes left. When Mr. Ganes was gone for sure he closed the class door. He looked at the class with a serious face from his desk. They all stared back at him. Suddenly they all just burst out laughing. "Oh man... That was great. Thanks kids. You all saved me once again."
....."No problem Mr. Markus. If it wasn't for this class my parents would have probably forced me to drop out and get a job." One kid said.
....."I don't see why that man has it out for me. 'Kids can't teach kids.' Thats what he always says to me."
....."Are we really having a test today?" One of the kids asked in despair.
....."Of course not. It's Friday.I don't feel like grading test on the weekends. You know that. I have better things to do."
.....The whole class sighed a sigh of relief. One of the kids said, "Like what? You don't have a girlfriend."
.....Tendal was shocked. "Uhhh. Well.... Not that it is any of your buisness, but I happen to be living with a very beautiful woman."
....."Awe. You think I'm beautiful?" Kayly asked from the other side of the broken window. "That's so sweet, but we've only just met last night."
....."What are you doing here? I've got work to do?"
....."I don't have anything to do so I figured I'd watch you for the day."
....."You can't stay here. You'll get me in trouble."
....."But I'll be bored." Kayly said.
....."I don't care."
....."I SAID I'LL BE BORED!" Kayly said looking at him evily.
.....Tendal stared at her. The whole class was staring at them. "OK! FINE! Just sit in my chair in the storage room with the door open so no teachers see you when they come in."
....."YAY!" Kayly said as she jumped through the window with ease. "This is gonna be so much fun." She took Tendal's chair and sat in it where he had told her to.
....."Woopdee freakin doo da." Tendal said. He was standing behind his desk and went to sit down forgetting already that he gave Kayly his seat. He banged his head off the wall behind him. The entire class laughed at him.
....."Are you okay Tendal?" Kayly asked. "That looked like it hurt."
....."I know you're enjoying it."
....."Guilty."
.....Tendal sat on his desk. "Okay class, today I want to talk to you about President Ronald Regan. He was our fortieth president. He was a Democrat."
....."Actually Tendal," Kayly interupted, "He was a republican."
....."No he wasn't. He was a democrat."
....."No, you're wrong. He was a republican."
....."Who is the history teacher?"
....."Republican."
.....While Tendal and Kayly argued about it, one girl in the class looked it up. "Mr. Tendal. He was a democrat."
....."HA!" Tendal shouted in Kayly's face.
....."But he switched to the republican party."
....."HAHAHA!" Kayly yelled in Tendal's face.
....."We are both right..."
....."But I was more right."
....."No you weren't."
....."The hell I wasn't. I was totally more right."
.....Over the next few weeks things progressed like this. Tendal slowly warmed up to Kayly and let her break the rules at home. She helped him to teach the classes. The kids loved when they got into arguments.
