My little brother has been diagnosed with Mitro Valve Prolapse, (I’m pretty sure that’s what it’s called), which is a complicated way of saying he has a heart murmur. The doctor says it isn't very serious - right now - but it is something that he will need to have checked for the rest of his life. However long that may be. He could live to one hundred, or he could die tomorrow. We just don't know.
Neither does he, actually. He hasn't asked any questions, so I doubt that he knows what could happen.
My grandmother is seventy-two years old, and she has it too, though it's worse in her. I personally think that my brother will be around for awhile, because she's been doing okay so far. But it's one thing when your grandmother has something like that - though it's horrible to say - and a whole different thing when it's your fourteen year old little brother. It's extremely hard to deal with.
So I've been very, very stressed out lately, as have the rest of my family. We're tense, tired, and worried for his health. So I hope you will all understand if I'm a little umotivated or delayed in replying to role playing posts, or if I get a little annoyed at you. I really don't want to offend anyone.
Until January, we won't find out if things are even worse than they seem. We had originally been looking for something else, called Marphan Syndrome. He has a few of the symptoms, but we won't know until we can see the geneticist in January.
I hope he'll be alright...
