The World of Demons, Story (edited)
The teacher was going on for the second time about some dark war that Rakku didn't care about. Her upper lord master has demanded that she retake high school. Sure she fit in, she looked the part, but the subjects she was taking, she already knew. Half the things in the history class where wrong so she read thru the text book marking what was incorrect, algebra was easy for her, same with chemistry, it was much like the alchemy that her play-mates where so fond of. Living for more then 300 years gave her plenty of time to read and study literature in her master's library that grew mouthy. The other subjects came just as easily to her.
She preferred her play-mates over the company the mortals, so she would always seek out at least one other play-mate. Her play-mates didn't all share the same master as she did, but among school rivals became friends in till the last bell rang. every once and a while a M (mortal) would show interest in one of Rakku's play-mates, Rakku would then get together with others and chase the M off. M and demons don't mix in that sort of relationship. They are strict rules on that subject.
Demons were far more beautiful then most M. demons had a higher metabolism which kept them naturally thin. It was very hard to find a fat D (demon). Any imperfections were erased in less wanted. Not all D had black eyes, Rakku’s, and most of her play-mates, had natural eye color. An experienced D can change the age they looked, skin, hair, anything about themselves. Rakku had kept her original colors but would change them every once and a while, but would always return to her natural skin. As for age, most D preferred to look like they where in their late teens.
The bell rang snapping Rakku out of her thoughts. Lunch had started. Rakku walked past the pro-war table that was set up out side of the lunch room. 219 years ago everyone thought that there will be no more wars; there would be flying cars, robots and holograms by 2226. But it was much the same as it was then. The earth was at war, again. Just when technology was booming in 2157 everything crashed all around the world. Each country blamed the other causing WW3. This time there was no secret alliances to depend on. For 79 years there has been endless war. Ds usually stay out of these things but this war was so big it affected the D world. Some of the bad D where feeding off the hate becoming stronger and more gusty. The older and more in control D had to beat them back.
