Happy New Year!!

This coming year is the year of the Rat in the Chinese Zodiac and I am now researching about what will happen to me this year, I who was born in the year of the Earth Snake.

I know it's not good to depend on the stars but hey, they can guide you on all your decisions. It is still in you whether to follow it or not, and I believe that it is what truly counts. Make your own decisions and stand by those. In making decisions, think of all its possible consequences. Don't be hasty in deciding. I learned it the hard way.

When I decided to enter a sorority, I only thought of the perks of being in one. I have totally forgotten about the things I am about to encounter during the initiations. I have tried to give up and quit many times, but they said that if I would not change, I will never be a better person because I cannot keep my word. I kept it for the very first time, I have to, because it is also the first time I made such a big decision.

I know that I am still the person that I was, but something has to change for the better. Seek the higher things in life. By seeking, it means that you do not only search for it, it means also that you know what you are searching for. Seek for the higher things, never only for the high, because it only shows mediocrity as such means following to do the standard. (You are already expected of it, isn't it?) Never also choose the highest, as there will be no room for improvement and the only way to go is down.
