In an era where greed and hate grew, demons raided villages and killed many. People were at war and you could hear the voices of children and women’s screams. There was a child born one day as disaster hit. The birthplace was engulfed in a black, ominous, fire. The father was able to save the baby but he was unable to save the mother and all that was left of her was black ash. After that day her father named her Michelle.
As the baby grew misfortune happened to people around her. Nobody ever died from the misfortune but they either got injured and had a few scratches or had a serious injury that almost ended their life. Her father stayed with her till she was three because of a demon that killed him. After that nobody would come near her. The villagers blamed her for their misfortune and bad luck. She was left alone to defend herself. Days went by and as days turned into years she turned in sixteen.
Demons attacked more frequently now. The village was attacked one day by numerous demons. The village was destroyed and only Michelle escaped the bloodshed. She was suddenly chased in the woods by a huge wolf like demon. It caught up to her and it pounced on her, digging its sharp claws into her skin. She was able to escape when she took a jagged stick and jabbed it in its eye. All she could do was run. She suddenly tripped and fell on a teenage boy who came out of nowhere. Before she could get up the demon reared up and would have crushed them both but suddenly the boy turn and bounded towards a tree. The boy took out a sword and killed the demon instantly. The girl got up and thanked him. He said nothing and he walked away.
As it grew darker she knew she couldn't make it out of the forest in her condition and knew nowhere else to go so she followed the boy. She was able to catch up but then she stepped on a stick that brought him to alert. He found out it was her and said to leave him alone. Michelle tried to convince him and then he said it was ok for her to come along for a while until her wounds healed. Then he introduced himself as Kaito
Months went by and it almost became a year since she traveled with him. She healed but didn't want to leave his side and he began to tolerate her existence. They went through bad and good times together and they were getting closer together. Everyday she would always tell him of her past and what she had been told while she was growing up. They both started to fall in love and became really close. That love came to an end one day when he met an evil witch who promised him power and youth if he killed the girl. He did as the witch said and betrayed Michelle.
Days later on a night of a full moon he pulled out his sword on her. She was confused but she had to run to avoid getting slashed. Before long he cornered her to a cliff. Far below there was freezing cold water and it was very deep. As he made his move he grazed her shoulder and made her fall backwards. He took the sword and thrust it down to her heart. She absolutely didn't want to die so she rolled to the side. He missed, hitting the rock instead. When he pulled the sword the rock ledge started to break. He jumped out of the area before the rock collapsed. The rock ledge fell into the water and sank deep below with Michelle. The water was so cold; she was frozen in a block of ice at the bottom of the see.
