Carpe Diem Ad Muertum
Sieze the day, to the death. There is no potential that shall be passed by, there is no piece of glory to fall by the wayside, there is no soul to left unsaved by the brilliance of language. As writers, we are gods.
Don't Forget the Gods
Gravity eye: the opening clay
Gaia watches
Chasm pupils bowing in druidic piety

Mouth tide: the heart murmurs storm
Poseidon speaks
Typhoon lungs breathing in cancer sludge

Metal cells: the neurons slash
Babbage dreams
Sparks firing a purchased synapse

Foot ellipse: the fire sphere perceived
Helios walks
Gas laughing ion storms forges gold

One extra stanza and an edit. Not much of an expansion on the poem, but most of it was here:
So I wrote this during a genetics review period, and shouldn't have, but honestly, I knew 90% of the genetics being reviewed and will know the other 10% by the time I take the test. I think I know what it means; I was only able to write the fourth stanza after catching the drift. I think I'm saying that Babbage (you know, maker of the Babbage machine, grandfather of computers) is as much a god as any of the Greek, Roman, or other gods. I might also be saying that every element (this including electric engineering) is completely ambiguous. Like, while the sea is the heartbeat of the earth, it has leukemia. I think the very last line sums up that particular theme. I might also be putting together random words of comparable aesthetic value and calling it poetry. I wonder if I could steal some government money to get it published... twisted

I've found in my years here on Earth that a spine is requisite if one is to stand for anything, especially on one's own two feet.

From my philosophy class: "I don't know if you've accurately captured the subjectivity of trolls..."[/size:b70742df3a][/color:b70742df3a]

...hmm. Interesting.
Is it bad that the stanza that made the most sense to me (what sense my mind was able to grasp) was the third one because of the biological references?

I'll read the expansion when you post it, and maybe comment again when I have something more insightful to say 3nodding .
