So, I have three projects in the works. At least in the conceptual stage.
One is about a strange little child with an imaginary friend. The twist? This imaginary friend is DEATH. Which follows her everywhere - literally and figuratively. Dark comedy FTW. I'd love to do this, but I fear it having been done before, and I don't know whether to make it a boy or a girl (a boy whose imaginary friend was Death would make more sense, but that adds to another level of strangeness if it was a girl, which is actually a good thing.)
Another is a remake and continuation of Dreamer. I really do want to do this, and quitting what I'd been doing (I didn't like the way I did things) hasn't changed the fact that I've still been working out the story in my mind. I'm at least up to Chapter 10 in my head, though the layout may change later on.
The third? Well, I was thinking about a complete rehaul for the Comic Blog, but I don't really have many characters planned. Xiam, of course, and Michi is probably the only secondary character I still talk to (okay, and maybe Vyr). I'll probably bring back the Artisan, the evil rodents, and other fictional characters (with Michi still around, it's obvious QWBLRXX will come back). Given that I spend most of my time on Gaia nowadays, I'll probably re-design Xiam to better suit that (this isn't finite yet, I may do another new look to match with my regular look), and I'll also bring in some friends from there.
I've had a few other stray ideas that I might figure out - I was actually tempted to go back to Dreamer and do an alternate version for the original way I wanted to do it prior to the dream that established the characters. A lot of the storyline would be the same, it would just have different species, and an odd, symbolic style to it. Ibi wouldn't exist, nor would any other Ursins, but there would be a lot of strange creatures, and a few things that will eventually end up in Dreamer (Giants? You bet!)
The Wanderers would be plain white beings, a bit like stick figures (I think I actually changed their look, though). Though... I think I'll keep Dreamer as it is now, because you can tell the difference between Wanderers (and other characters). Also, more of the story's already figured out, as opposed to the other. And there's actually dialogue in the normal one... people really wouldn't speak in the symbolic version.
*cough* Sorry, ranting... another I'd been thinking about was initially planned to be a short story for Halloween, involving Angels of Death. It might clash with the story of the child and Death, though, regarding themes... though it would be more philosophical, questioning the nature of humanity, and our belief in the afterlife.
So um... lemme know what you folks think... and what you'd like to see more. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
