High heel footsteps are heard at the end of a long decorative hallway. A women. Dressed in a long white skirt with fringed edges. Her white tank top shared the same neglect though her white armlets and high heel shoes seemed to shine like new.
She walked with great haste down the hall making a hollow echo with every step. She made it to the end of the hall to a chestnut door. Without hesitation she turned the knob and pressed inside with a satisfactory look on her face.
The room stretched for only a ways to make the walk in the hallway seem that much more long. It's side walls where covered by bookshelves littered with books. At the very end sat a office desk with the same chestnut tone. A man stood there in a black suit with his back to her shifting something smoothly into his jacket pocket as he turned around.
"He's back on track. He got a little to close this time. I just don't see what we don't take it if we'll need it in the end... i mean it can't be that hard to piece it all together."
She reached into her clevage and pulled out a small shard of a white crystal gem.
"I mean we do have this..."
She held it out infront of her and handed it to the man. He smiled and grabbed it from her slowly and held it infront of his eyes. He smiled and sighed lightly then grasped the crystal and looked back towards her placing his other hand on her shoulder
"We are lucky this shard has the power it does over him... nothing more."
He patted her shoulder lightly and walked around to the other side of his desk and sat down
"Even if we where able to grab the crystal with our own hands it wont answer to us. The closer this shard gets to it the worse it will be for us. If it's ever whole again our plans will all be for nothing...
Like i said... we are lucky this shard has the power it does over him..."
He opened his palm and slid the shard onto the table. His eyes glanced up to hers.
"Make sure he gets the last of them and delivers them here. We can't not afford to have him go rogue on us."
The women nodded and sighed lightly and started to turn and walk out only to be interrupted with a "Wait"
She stopped and turned around.
"You'll be needing this if anything was to happen."
He grabbed the shard on the table and tossed it towards her. She caught it and smiled placing it back into it's hiding place.
"If he has a change of heart... we'll have no choice but to kill him and find other methods... and that would be most troublesome"
He nodded to her and waved her off. She turned around with an devilish grin and exited the room. The door shutting siliently behind her.
The room fell quiet. The man pulled open his coat pocket and placed a decorative wooden case onto the table. He just placed his hand and tapped it lightly.
