It was nine O`clock on a monday afternoon.
A man who`s name was Philip was waiting in his california , luxurious , house which was near a beach , a perfect spot.
He was waiting for her to come back.
She left for a week now.
He had a lot of doubt
He started to think :"Is she ok? Is she with someone else? She havent told me anything before leaving.........."
So he waited , and waited , for hours he kept asking himself the same questions.
Sitting on his living room`s couch watching TV. Some old shows were replaying , he already seen them all twice. He needed to pass time.
He ate a lot due to fear and loneliness. But soon his fear changed into another feeling , anger.
Right when the idea of his wife with another man came into his head , Philip stopped thinking about anything else. Nothing else came into his head , no other possibilities , its the one stuck in his mind.
The day after , at eleven O`clock in the morning. Philip waked up , he only slept three hours this night.
He woked and made breakfeast. Drank his coffee . It was rainning outside. No one was swimming on the beach today. He had to go to work with the idea of his wife cheating on him. They fell in love ten years ago , Philip got charmed by those beautifull green eyes at first sight , and she also did. They wed then found their house near the beach , a pretty little life.
He opened the door and by his great surprise , she was there , standing in the rain , a few feets from him.
Her head was shaved , a bit like those skinheads do.
They both looked at each other in the eyes for about twelve minutes.
Not a single sound. we could clearly see two emotions , she looked ashamed and sad. As for philip , he looked angry yet happy to see her ok.
Then they started the discution:
Philip: So..... you found your way back here......
Samantha: Im sorry , I should have called , but i had my reasons........
Philip: Iv been so scared , what an idea to live for a week without telling me??!!
Samantha : I had my reasons.....
Philip :What reason?? Did you left me for another man??
Samantha then looked even more ashamed , she looked at her feets and said
"Yes......."
A long silence then followed.
When philip found the courage to talk he said
"So... is it for him that you shaved your hairs?"
And the discution restated
Samantha : Yes its for him.......
Philip: You made me worry , and now you break my heart.
Samantha : Im sorry , i have my reasons.......
Philip: You cant imagine the pain i suffered!!
Samantha: Im sorry i have my reasons..........
Philip: So who is it?
Samantha: ........................
Philip: TELL ME!!
Samantha stated to cry and looked at her feets again
Philip came in front of her , and raised her head of force back to look in her eyes.
She was crying even stronger.
He slapped her and asked again:
"WHO IS IT!!"
She looked at him and said
"There is no man , i havent cheated you!! Let go off me now!
Philip : Why did you lie to me then? Im sure there someone!
Samantha : No theres no one , i love you too much to betray you.
Philip :Then why?? , why did you lie to me???
A long silence came and she finished by saying:
" You see , i love you , if i didnt , i wouldnt have come back to see you.
You know ,it would have been less hard to take for you if i would have lied........ about the shaved head , the doctor said it was beter that way , it is suposed to be less traumatising for you. Cancer is a hard step you know..........
