The hunter looked up from the bear to see the little girl run to him. "Please! Don't!" She had started to cry. The hunter then looked from the bear to the girl and put the gun down. The girl kept crying as the bear went to its mothers body and nudged and nudged her to get up. But it was to no use, the bears body did not move.
The Cub then looked to the hunter and the girl and trotted off into the woods.
The hunter looked back from the cub to the little girl and said, "What's your name?" The girl sniffled and cleared her eyes before she said, "Gold-E-Locks." She looked up and gasped because it was her father, the same one that left, that was looking back at her. Except this time, he didn't have that blank expression, he was actually smiling.
She suddenly hugged him and he hugged her back. After all these years, Gold-E-Locks thought, we're finally a family again. But then she remembered the family of bears and felt sorry for the cub who would have to fend for himself in this harsh, cruel world.
